TASTE OF ASIA
牛道 - BEEF
Specializing in beef noodles soup, Niu Taste depicts the original taste of Taiwan's famous cuisine. The Taiwanese noodle soup is made of stewed or red braised beef, beef broth, vegetables and Chinese noodles. In Taiwan it is considered a national dish and every year the city of Taipei holds an annual Beef Noodle Festival, where various chefs and restaurants compete to for the "best beef noodle" title in Taiwan.
The similar taste and culture of Taiwanese and Japanese are the key factor in the introduction of Niu Taste. When it comes to Japanese, they are fond of communal beer drinking, especially as a form of relaxation after works. In such occasion, kushiyaki (grilled food) is the default food.
One of the most popular kushiyaki is yakitori (grilled chicken). Not only that, Niu Taste offers a wide range of meat such as lamb and seafood.
We believed that when it comes to dining, the atmosphere plays an important part. The interior concept of Niu Taste is definitely one of a kind. Step into the restaurant and you will be greeted with a very primitive yet elegant look, which leaves you with a very picturesque view. A simple meal is always much more appetizing with beguiling lighting, emanate furniture and classy finishing.
Every furniture and the placing has its meaning. Guests will not only be greeted with a pair of lion statues at the front door, but at every corner of the restaurant as well. As the king of the jungle, lion symbolizes royalty, leadership and dominion. All these positive vibes are the core values that Niu Taste holds.
Yes, let's not forget the significant large table, with an aquarium of live fishes swimming around. There's a saying in Chinese where sitting at a round table brings out harmony, peace and prosperity. That is why we believed in bringing fortune and luck to everyone who visits the outlet.
"I have always believed in cooking with a sincere heart. There's a difference when you truly appreciate the things that you are passionate about."
Meet Zhang Yao Dong, one of the co-founders of Niu Taste Restaurant. He's not just a man of good looks, but also a hardworking entrepreneur and a passionate foodie. It's not everyday that you get to meet a Chinese lad who loves spices and probably the core introduction to how Niu Taste started.
"My team and I built Niu Taste from ground zero. From the ingredients to the furniture of the restaurant, all are carefully handpicked in the making of this project. Chris (co-founder) and I personally flew overseas to source for authentic ancient goods that can give the entire restaurant the Asian homely feel."
One might be surprised to know that Dong is a reputable actor in the international Chinese entertainment scene.
His experiences in life makes him excited to showcase more of the Chinese culture and probably educate people to appreciate quality Asian food and its lifestyle.
